Rehobeth, Inc. is a nonprofit organization under 501c3. It is our mission, duty, and purpose to provide supportive and education through training services, recruitment and job placement for safety professionals.

We will assist individuals seeking employment from low-income areas, Veterans, and ex-offenders to help reduce recidivism rates. These individuals will benefit from the program by receiving professional training that will enable them to obtain long-term employment. Our programs are provided in Chicago, NY, Atlanta, and FL.

People who lack barrier removal resources combined with very low housing vacancy rate and little affordable housing means that too many will end up either homeless or returning to living in situations and relationships which contributed to their past criminal behavior, potentially resulting in the person engaging in new criminal activity.

Training

Our training personnel conduct training throughout the continental US. Our personnel are assigned to clients determined by program needs. Assignments will be issued according to the client needs and all personnel, regardless of the department, will be trained in security and emergency protocols.

Development

It becomes even more difficult for an ex-offender to successfully transition into the community with the tools to be successful. Lack of barrier removal programs not only makes finding employment significantly more difficult, but it increases the risk for crime, addictions and sense of hopelessness.
Our safety training program will provide mentoring, training, and assistance with finding employment. Job preparation classes will focus on employer expectations, appropriate work attire, resume preparation, and job search skills. Other vital features of our services include community resources to aid participants into adapting an independent lifestyle. Our participants can be rest assured through our services and partnerships with other organizations within our community, we can assist them in being successful, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to obtain stable employment.

The need that our project is responding to and the need of our target audience

According to the Department of Justice, more than 650,000 ex-offenders are released from prison every year, and studies show that approximately two-thirds will likely be rearrested within three years of release. Many wish to become law-abiding citizens and have the best intention of living a conventional life yet have few job skills, lack a formal education, and experience discrimination in housing and job markets because of their felony records. Rehobeth, Inc. seeks to break this cycle by providing workforce education and training. These individuals, along with our Veterans and those that are unemployed need jobs to support their families. Our programs will help them build a more stable life financially and decrease the need for government assistance.
